Kenny Chesney brought a young fan on stage to sing with him and then he lost control of his show to her … and, the crowd loved it!

Kenny was performing at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey last Saturday night (8/15). NASH Country Weekly reports that with that concert for more than 58,000 fans Kenny became the highest-selling country artist of all time in New Jersey.

However, to one fan Kenny became the hero of heroes in her eyes. It began when the country music superstar brought her on stage to sing with him. You can tell in the video below that the young fan was having the time of her life singing “I Go Back” with Kenny. The real fun and the part that may have even made the multi-time Entertainer of the Year Award winner blush came next.

The young girl asked if she could say something to the audience after the song. Kenny obliged by handing over the microphone. She asked Kenny for a kiss on the lips, which she got. Then, she asked for the microphone again!

Again Kenny handed it over. This time she showered the country singer with praise telling the audience, “His music got me through the toughest times. His music inspires me. The reason why I want to be on the stage was because my grandfather’s dream was to see me up here, to sing with Kenny.”

Kenny got the microphone back and after some more loving hugs for the girl was able to get back to the show as some stage hands helped the young girl off the stage. Appropriately enough the next song Kenny began singing was “Wild Child.”

The fan that caught the special moment on video and shared it on YouTube posted it with the message, “Last night my friends and I saw Kenny Chesney and friends play at MetLife stadium in East Rutherford, NJ! The whole show was amazing but this was definitely a favorite moment! Kenny kisses this sweet girl and leaves us all with huge smiles! What an awesome guy!!”

It makes me proud to be a part of the country music industry when I see the country stars do stuff like this, which they often do. Well done Kenny, well done.
