Chris Janson has has a busy and productive summer. However, the country newcomer has found the time to put the finishing touches on his debut Warner Brothers Records album.

Chris is an established song writer in Nashville having penned Tim McGraw’s 2012 hit single “Truck Yeah,” Justin Moore’s album title track “Off The Beaten Path,” and more songs for artists including  Hank Williams Jr, Randy Houser, Joe Nichols, Parmalee, Frankie Ballard, Tyler Farr, Jerrod Niemann and Craig Campbell.

Chris is enjoying a different kind of success this year as the singer of his own son “Buy Me A Boat.” The tune has been steadily climbing the country singles charts through the summer. The song has reached the top 10 on both the Billboard and Country Aircheck charts as of this week.

Chris has also been busy building his fan base on the road with Toby Keith‘s “Good Times & Pick Up Lines Tour.” However, the country singer-songwriter found a few days recently to hit Music City and get in the studio to record the final parts of his album.

How does Chris feel about the new album? “I can’t tell you how happy I am to have this music coming out. I’ve been writing nonstop for 10 years so material was not a problem. My A&R rep said we have two albums of material. I have songs about boats, love, kids, back in my drinkin’ days and Jesus. It will definitely be a piece of Chris Janson.” The yet to be titled album is expected to be released this fall.

I love the song “Buy Me A Boat.” The hat that Chris is wearing in the picture above also makes me like him more as I am also a part of the #CardinalsNation! I can’t wait to hear the entire project from Chris Janson when it comes out.
