Kenny Chesney broke the record for attendance at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field over the weekend with his “Big Revival Tour” stop.

Kenny’s 2015 tour sold 55,131 tickets to break the old record for a single night country music show at the home stadium of the Philadelphia Eagles that Kenny had set with a previous stop at the stadium.

In fact, this was Kenny’s eighth tour stop at Lincoln Financial Field and he says coming back to the same venue year after year does make him a bit nervous; “It’s funny, when you go back to markets in this size venue tour after tour, you wonder if people are ever going to get tired of the big show, the long day – and listening to the crowd last night, they were as alive, as loud, as crazy about the music as they were in 2006 (the first time he played there).”

Kenny had indications that the tour stop would be just fine earlier in the day when he could hear the fans tailgating; “That’s always been the point with my music: gather your friends, kick back and enjoy the moment. Sometimes it’s all you got, but all you got is plenty. Maybe that’s why after eight straight tours, it’s still growing.”

Kenny posted the picture above on his Twitter account with the message; “To ALL 55,131 of you who came out to @LFFStadium… You rocked us hard and broke another record! ”

Congratulations to Kenny Chesney for continuing to set records with his concerts.
