Canaan Smith has scored his first #1 on the Billboard charts with his single “Love You Like That.”

The Williamsburg, Virginia native was a contestant on The Amazing Race reality show-competition. Canaan and his girlfriend at the time, Mika Combs, were the sixth team eliminated during season 15 of the show.

Canaan’s musical career is doing better than his attempt at the reality competition. The advanced Billboard Country Airplay chart for this week is out. Canaan’s single “Love You Like That” makes a jump from number four last week to the number one spot on the chart this week.

Canaan is enjoying his first chart topping single of his career with the surge of “Love You Like That.” The song is the second single from his debut album Bronco which is available everywhere now. You can watch the music video for “Love You Like That” by Canaan Smith below.

Canaan is currently on tour with Dierks Bentley for the “Sounds Of Summer Tour” along with fellow opening acts Maddie & Tae and Kip Moore.
