While you are celebrating the Fourth of July this weekend, have fun, but be careful with the fireworks.

I can’t deny that fireworks are fun! I have enjoyed them over the years and even done some questionable things with them in the past.

However, we all need to remember what fireworks are … EXPLOSIVES.

Several years ago the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) produced a safety video using mannequins to show just how dangerous fireworks can be if handled carelessly and improperly. A guy on YouTube decided to set the video to the “1812 Overture.”

The combination of the song synced with the video is entertaining, but it still shows just how devastating fireworks can be to a person if care is not used while setting them off.
