Blake Shelton took the time to rescue a fellow Okie’s truck out of rising floodwaters and even gave him a ride home.

Roho Hartman was driving near his home just outside Ardmore, Oklahoma when he came to a spot where the road had been covered by floodwaters. Another car made it through the water so he figured he could make it through in his truck. He was wrong.

He and another passerby began pushing his stalled truck up a hill with the water rising up to their waists when another truck came by and offered to hook up a tow rope to pull the truck up the hill and out of the water.

That truck just happened to be driven by country music superstar and Oklahoma resident Blake Shelton. Blake pulled the Roho’s truck to safety, which is when the man asked the country star if he could give him a ride home “just right over yonder.” Blake obliged and took Roho home.

Family and friends at Roho’s house talked with Blake a little bit and took some pictures before the country star rode off having done his good deed for the day.

The picture to the right is Blake and Roho from Facebook. It was posted with the caption: “Look who brought Justin’s brother in law home this evening!”

Oklahoma TV station KFOR reported the story and interviewed Roho about his encounter with Blake Shelton. Watch the interview here.

You know, in Brad Paisley‘s latest music video for his song “Crushin’ It” Blake Shelton is depicted as a superhero named “Major BS.” He lives up to the “BS” part daily in his life. Now it would appear that he is living up to the superhero role that Brad has assigned to him.

*High Five* to Blake Shelton for stopping to help out somebody in need!
