Earlier this week we told you Tyler Farr got engaged to his girlfriend Hannah Freeman. Tyler now tells us how he popped the question.
Tyler and Hannah have been a couple for two-and-a-half years and last Sunday, May 10th TYler decided it was time to make his best friend his fiancé as their relationship moves forward.
First of all Tyler revealed that he purchased the ring at the same jewelry store that his friends Jason Aldean and Lee Brice purchased their engagement rings for their ladies. Tyler was on his way home from doing a show and the shop opened just for him to pick out the ring.
Tyler next headed over to pick up Hannah for a trip to downtown Nashville. “I picked her up she had no idea; she had no clue which I think that’s how I wanted it to be,” Tyler revealed. “I called some friends over at the Ryman which we’ve played a few times and the Opry they hooked me up. [They] were very nice and got me a private little setting in there where there wasn’t too many people around. They were kinda doing tours, but they had this part blocked off and I took her up at a stained glass window on the top story and did it there. I really could not even speak I literally just like popped it out, got on one knee and she didn’t say anything and she just starts balling and yes! It was probably the best moment of my life up to this point.”
Why did Tyler decided to propose at the Ryman? Tyler explained; “I honestly couldn’t think of a better church than the mother church of country music.”
If you have listened to Tyler’s songs you know that a lot of them are about heartbreak. So, how does this happy event fit into his musical mind? “Yes I’m a sucker for heartbreak songs. But, with every heartache you learn, and that coincides with my music career; which all the times and trials led me to find my best friend, a woman that truly makes me a better person. And, I am now so very blessed and proud to call her my fiancé,” Tyler says.
The couple has not set a date for the wedding yet.
Congratulations to Tyler Farr and Hannah Freeman on their engagement and well-done Tyler on how you popped the question!
