Sam Hunt scored a win on Billboard the day after the 50th ACM Awards Show as he hit #1 with “Take Your Time.”
Sam was one of the three finalists for the fan-voted ACM New Artist of the Year Award at the 50th ACM Awards. However, it was Cole Swindell that took the trophy home last night (4/19). Perhaps the news today that he has scored his second number one single will serve as a consolation for the singer-songwriter.
The advance Billboard Country Airplay chart has been released and Sam is at the top of the chart with “Take Your Time.” This is the second single from his debut albumMontevallo and the second #1 from the album. “Leave The Night On” became Sam’s first #1 song last year.
“Leave The Night On” has been certified Platinum for sales of more than one million copies.
Sam’s second single seems to be not only following that first chart topper for radio airplay, but also in sales. “Take Your Time” has already been certified Gold for sales of 500,000 copies.
Congratulations to Sam hunt on his #1 single “Take Your Time.”
