Lady Antbellum‘s Hillary Scot was headed to Dallas for the ACM Awards Show when her tour bus caught on fire.
Music Row reports that Hillary, her husband Chris Tyrell, the band’s tour manager and bus driver were on the bus when a tire blew causing the ensuing fire. All the passengers were able to evacuate the bus unharmed. However, the bus sustained severe damage as you can see in the picture posted to social media above.
Lady A members Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood were not on the bus.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Hillary posted to social media that they were all fine. She also posted the picture to the right with the message: “I just got this picture from the scene of the fire and HAD to share this. Today, when our bus caught on fire we had quite a few personal belongings in the back (where I was asleep before evacuating the bus) one of them being my Bible. I kid you not, EVERYTHING in the back lounge was destroyed from the flames, except my Bible. The outside cover was burned and messed up but NOT ONE PAGE was missing. Yall, God’s Word will always stand. He is FOR YOU, WILL PROTECT YOU, AND HIS LOVE FOR YOU WILL NEVER FADE. My faith is forever deepened because of today. I hope this story deepens yours.”
Lady Antebellum is nominated for Vocal Group of the Year at the 50th ACM Awards Show which will air on Sunday from 7pm to 10:30pm on CBS.
