It’s hard to believe that 25 years ago my then girlfriend who is now my wife and I went to see this Richard Gere film. I’m sure it was less about ‘Pretty Woman’ and more about her favorite actor Richard Gere. Matt Lauer sat down this morning on Today, to talk with the cast.

I never knew that it was originally going to be called 3000 which was a more dark film about a prostitute until Gary Marshall and Disney took over. Julia Roberts was picked for the original, but Richard Gere didn’t know if he wanted anything to do with the film and initially turned it down. Julia Roberts convinced him to change his mind. I think we all agree that was a good thing. Imagine ‘Pretty Woman’ without any of them.
