Neil Patrick Harris has done an excellent job hosting the Oscars the past years. In a recent interview with Huffington Post he revealed that he probably won’t do it again;

It’s so difficult for one who’s simply watching the show to realize just how much time and concession and compromise and explanation has gone into almost every single thing. Every joke, wording of joke, placement of joke canceling of joke, embellishment for just one line, I don’t know that my family nor my soul could take it. It’s a beast.

I sure hope that this give the Academy enough time to find someone that can be as compelling and funny. The last time this happened they had to turn to Billy Crystal at the last minute. He does a good job, but I think we have others that can take it over. Thank goodness he’s there in an emergency.

Some of the stars I think could pull off the hosting job are Ellen, Vince Vaughn or maybe we do a duo hosting job and in that case let's bring in Blake Shelton and Adam Levine 🙂
