Tim McGraw’s Oscar's tribute to country music legend Glen Campbell is being reported as the biggest trending moment of the show.
Sunday the Oscar’s had plenty of moments that sent viewers to the internet to rave or rant on social media. However, the single moment that motivated more people to hit the internet was when Tim McGraw sang in tribute to Glen Campbell.
Tim was asked to sing the Oscar-nominated song “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” when the country legend himself was unable to make it to the show and perform the song. Glen’s family specifically requested that Tim step in for the performance.
People.com reports that the performance created a spike in searches for “Glen Campbell” by 211 times on Google. That is more searches than for any other name associated with the show.
Glen has been deteriorating in health due to Alzheimer’s. However, his wife told People that the country music legend is “healthy, content and jovial.”
