Thomas Rhett is one of country music’s most promising new acts. He made the list of semi-finalists for the ACM New Artist of the Year award and I believe is one of the front-runners to be one of the three finalists that can win the award.

The singer-songwriter has been building his fan base by putting on great live shows both on his own and as an opening act for some of the biggest tours in country music. Thomas Rhett will be joining Florida Georgia Line as an opening act for the “2015 Anything Goes Tour” starting in May.

For the past couple of months Thomas Rhett has been closing out his stadium and club shows with a cover of the Mark Ronson-Bruno Mars collaboration “Uptown Funk.” This is not the first time that the country singer has covered a Bruno Mars song. Recently he put a country spin on Bruno’s song “If I Was Your Man.” Watch that video by clicking here.

The two videos below are of Thomas Rhett covering “Uptown Funk.” He commits to the performance with a fedora hat and sunglasses. The first video gives you a better view of Thomas Rhett performing the song while the second video has a better sound quality to hear him coving the song.
