Thomas Rhett admits he is obsessed with Bruno Mars and told Rolling Stone Country, "I'd give my right leg to be able to sing like that dude." On tour with Florida Georgia Line right now, Thomas has been performing a cover of the Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars his "Uptown Funk" for his finale, but his Bruno Mars obsession actually began much earlier.

Last month, with the American Country Countdown Awards on the way, Thomas actually used his popularity on twitter, along with his hope that his fans had a shared love for Bruno Mars, as an interesting campaign to get some extra votes for Breakthrough Artist of the Year. He tweeted his fans a promise that he would record his own version of Bruno Mars "When I Was Your Man" if 3,000 followers retweeted his post…well, almost 4,000 fans took him up on it, and Thomas kept his word.
