Kip Moore has had a great 2014 and it is ending stronger than ever for the singer/songwriter as he earns some big awards for the year.
Monday night (12/15) Kip took home the award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the inaugural American Country Countdown Awards (ACC Awards). It was Kip’s first major award of his career.
“It may be my name on the award, but there are so many others who deserve to have their name on this with me,” Kip said. “I’m humbled by the overwhelming loyalty and support from my band, country radio and especially the fans who have been coming to see us on tour and buying our music.”
As if to validate the award (not that he needed it), Kip scored some heavy metal for two of his singles yesterday (12/16). His #1 hit single “Hey Pretty Girl” was certified Platinum for sales and streams reaching the one million mark.
Kip’s smash hit “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck” has now been certified Double Platinum for reaching the mark of two million in sales and streams.
“I couldn’t have imagined in my wildest dreams that we would be talking about millions of sales and streams of songs I’ve written. It’s surreal and I can’t wait to show everyone what we have planned for 2015,” remarked Kip.
Kip headlined the CMT ON TOUR: UP IN SMOKE this past year. The tour garnered high praise for Moore’s “high energy set” (Rolling Stone) with Minneapolis Tribune declaring him a “country music contender” and the Chicago Tribune noting he is “carving his own niche in country music.”
Congratulations to Kip Moore on a great 2014 and here’s to an even better 2015!
