Winter Storm Jonas caused havoc for millions in the North East including Chris Young and Cassadee Pope who got stranded on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Chris and Cassadee have recorded a duet “Think Of You” which is available now as a single and can be found on Chris’ latest #1 album I’m Comin’ Over available everywhere now. The two are also currently performing together on Chris’ “I’m Comin’ Over Tour.”
Last weekend they were headed to do a couple of shows in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia when they were caught in the blizzard Saturday (1/23) en route.
Cassadee used Twitter to let people know what she and her band had been dealing with when she posted, “Been stuck on the PA turnpike for over 12 hours now. Might as well make the best of it.” Making the best of it apparently meant having a snowball fight on the Turnpike based on the video that accompanied the message which can be seen below or here.
Chris was also stuck on the Turnpike in his bus and posted on Twitter, “Snow angels in shorts….not my best idea…” You can watch Chris’ snowy artistic efforts in the video below or here.

The problems continued for Cassadee as late Saturday she posted the message, “An update for those asking: It’s been about 27 hours now on the turnpike. We’re told we’ll be able to turn around at some point tonight.”
Finally Sunday morning (1/24) Cassadee shared the news, “Made it out!! Fueling up and then headed home!” The singer-songwriter also gave credit to those who helped them and everybody else stuck in the blizzard, “Thanks for your hard work through all hours of the night to get everyone to safety, @PANationalGuard. We appreciate you!”
Chris and Cassadee’s “I’m Comin’ Over Tour” date at Pittsburgh’s Stage AE has been rescheduled for March 11th, and the date at Philadelphia’s Electric Factory has been rescheduled to March 12th.
